Wind mitigation inspection in Broward County

We document your home's wind-resistant features on Florida's standard wind mitigation form — the report many Broward homeowners use to pursue insurance credits.

What the form actually asks

Florida's standard wind mitigation form is a short, specific list: roof covering, roof deck attachment, roof-to-wall attachment, roof geometry, secondary water resistance and opening protection. Each one is a yes-with-evidence, not an opinion. Our job is to find the evidence and photograph it.

Broward in particular

Broward is inside the Florida Building Code's High-Velocity Hurricane Zone, the same as Miami-Dade. A Broward roof replaced under a permit in recent years was very likely built to a standard the form gives credit for — the inspection is often less about finding out what the house has and more about putting it on paper in the format an underwriter will accept.

What we can and cannot promise

We document what is there; your insurer determines any discount. Anybody who tells you in advance what you will save is guessing with your money — the credits are the carrier's to apply, against their own filed rates. What we can tell you is that an undocumented feature earns nothing, and most homes we look at have at least one.
